A Luxe Ski Weekend in Alpe d’Huez, France, Qualia Hamilton Island and Tennis at Curtain Bluff in Antigua

The New Year has come and gone. We are now well into 2014 and it’s cold and miserable over here in New York! And I mean miserable. When the high is barely reaching double digits you know it’s time to get the heck outta wherever it is you live! That’s why I’m back with the Luxury Travel Blog Network‘s top stories for January travel. Book a vacation or take a trip around the web to these procrastination destinations. Just pretend for a moment that you’re somewhere fabulous, even if you’re just staying inside and keeping warm in front of the TV.

Luxury Ski Weekend France

First up, Mrs. O Around the World takes us on a luxe ski weekend getaway to Alpe d’Huez, France. Skiing in France seems like the most luxe getaway this city girl can imagine right now. It simply seems worlds away. Mrs. O. checked into a VIP Ski Chalet, squeezed in plenty of skiing on the slopes and enjoyed delectable gourmet cuisine (and loads of champagne of course). And this adventurous maven even went parapenting. Dont know what that is? Don’t worry neither did I. You’ll have to check out her post to find out. But I am happy to say that she lived to tell her experience!

Next, join Nadine Jolie on her honeymoon at her final destination where she shacked up at Qualia Hamilton Island, located off Australia’s the Great Barrier Reef. I think it’s safe to say she saved the best stop for last. This fab hotel was the only spot to receive a 100/100 rating on Conde Nast Traveler’s Reader’s Choice list in 2012. Come see what all the hype is all about down under. Congrats to one of my favorite people I have had the pleasure to meet through this crazy travel blogging world. You and E are a fabulous couple and the LTBN wishes you all the best (though I still can’t believe you went on your honeymoon without me)!

Finally, join Luxury Travel Mom for an inside look at Tennis week at Curtain Bluff in Antigua. I don’t know how she managed to keep her eye on the ball with a view like this. I suspect it may have had something to do with the adorable tennis pros. Check out her experience and try to soak in some sun from her gorgeous photos.

Four Seasons Nevis Where to Stay

And if you haven’t already, be sure to check out my post about a Luxe Trip to Nevis at the Four Seasons.
